**** AGGREGATE FILE 74-57.txt 5/17/01 **** ======================================================== **** FILE 74B-57.txt **** These SED1374 register contents were taken while displaying a 320x240x4 image on a KCS057QV... Kyocera LCD module. The SED1374 was on an SDU1374BOC evaluation board by Epson. CONNECTIONS This board was mounted in a ISA slot, connected to a Kyocera KK5 No.1 interface board via 40pin cable. The KK5 was connected to the Kyocera LCD via the blue cable, which was inserted in the KK-5 connector with white paper label saying "CN6". REGISTER CONFIGURATION I made a copy of 1374BMP.exe, renamed 74B-57.exe and ran 1374CFG.exe to configure it as follows: PANEL TAB (The following settings are absolutely required by the Kyocera KCS057QV LCD modules) color, single, STN, 8bit, 320 x 240, format 2. (The following settings are within their range in the Kyocera specs for this LCD) FrameRate (fps)=75, InputClock (kHz)=12500. (The following settings are defaults that make the SDU1374 work.) Mod Count = 0, LookUp Table = 4 BPP, MemoryLocation=0xD0000, FPLineStart=16, FPFrameStart=0, FPline Hi, FPframe Hi, Misc. Options all not checked. SAVING CONFIGURATION VALUES Run 1374CFG.exe under windows. To get the initial values, open 1374BMP.exe or a copy of it, for example 74B-57.exe. Then modify as above. Then click "Save", highlight the same program you just opened, Click "Save" and "Yes" to overwrite. OPERATING THE LCD Run the program renamed 74B-57.exe and configured as above at the prompt on the MS-DOS emulation screen. For example c:\...>74B-57 BL4-3224.bmp REGISTER VALUES Below are the register contents resulting from this configuration, obtained by running 1374PLAY.exe at the MS-DOS, and entering commands "xa", then "q". LCD module. The SED1374 was on an SDU1374BOC evaluation board by Epson. The board and its SED1374 registers were configured exactly as described in 74B-57.txt However this test was executed as c:\...>74B-57 FL4-2432.bmp /P The LCD was still 320x240. 74B-57.exe was still configured as 320x240 with no check mark in the PortraitMode box. But the image was 240x320 and the /P caused it to be rotated on the LCD. Below are the register values as rotated for comparison with 74B-57.txt.
