Production Engineer - Injection Molding
Location: Mountain Home, NC

KYOCERA Industrial Ceramics Corporation, a leading manufacturer of indexable cutting tools, has an immediate opportunity in our Mountain Home, NC facility; located in beautiful Western North Carolina.

JOB SUMMARY:

This key position will work closely with the Molding Supervisor in a Department of 9 injection mold machines approximately 15 employees, and should have the ability to grow and work with other departments as needed. Will be focused on yields, tool maintenance, and automation as main tasks initially.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Demonstrated initiative to solve problems.
• Good knowledge of best practices in a mold department.
• Mechanical engineering background/degree strongly preferred.
• 3-5 years of experience in an injection mold department. (will consider mechanical degree in lieu of experience)
• Knowledge of LEAN Manufacturing principles.
• Strong problem solving/trouble shooting skills.
• Ability to identify customers' (both internal and external) needs.
• Well organized with demonstrated practice of appropriate follow-up.
• Ability to supervise employees as needed.
• Computer proficiency, including Windows, Word, and Excel.

EDUCATION:

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering strongly preferred.
• Will consider experience in lieu of degree.
