Lens Elements
Kyocera produces an average of approximately 2,000,000 lens elements per month. At our most fundamental level, grinding and polishing lenses is the basis for all that we do. These include Spherical, cylindrical, and Aspheric lenses. Lens sizes range from as small as 1.8mm diameter, up to 300mm, with accuracy of up to λ/10. Kyocera is one of the largest producers of cylinder lenses in the world, mostly for laser printing applications. Much of Kyocera's single element lens business is from foreign lens manufacturers looking for lower cost options.
Photographic Lenses
Our lens business began over 75 years ago in the photographic industry. Kyocera currently OEM Manufactures many of the photographic lenses sold under top German brand names, recognized around the world for having the highest quality in the photographic industry.
Scanner Lenses
One of our largest business segments, Kyocera produces a substantial amount of high resolution scanner lenses used for flatbed scanner and document imaging systems. Our scanner lens products serve the market for 600 to 4000+ DPI range products. Kyocera has long been recognized as a technological leader and currently enjoys a commanding lead in the Asian community for this product.
Microscopes
Kyocera makes a variety of stereo microscopes with both fixed and zoom magnification. These microscopes have been designed to be similar in performance, but with lower cost than other top selling Japanese Brands. Kyocera offers both desktop versions and custom configurations, which are commonly used in electronic manufacturing such as wire-bonding machines. Kyocera also offers OEM Microscopes for customers who prefer to apply their own brand name .
CCD TV Lenses
Kyocera has a broad selection of available miniature CCD lenses, which are commonly used in applications such as desktop videoconferencing, security, or Digital Still Cameras. Lists of standard configurations are available for those that are interested, or Custom lenses are also quite affordable.
Infra-Red Lenses
Kyocera is quickly becoming the premier Japanese manufacturer of Silicon (Si) and Germanium (Ge) lenses for IR-applications. Wavelengths for these lenses include 1000-5000 and 8000 - 14000nm ranges. Kyocera expertise in imaging and coating technologies allow us to offer some of the most technically advanced and cost effective IR lens solutions for commercial or defense applications.
