Metallized ceramic acceleration tubes are designed to accelerate charged particles using high voltage. Attaining very high performance requires a stable high-voltage state with no minute electrical discharge. Kyocera's advanced processing technologies yield high-purity ceramic materials and high-precision components for this application. Our acceleration tube can attain 1MV accelerating voltage using a ceramic ring of 240mm inner diameter, 290mm outer diameter, and 750mm height. Advanced ceramic-to-metal bonding technology provides complete hermeticity of <1.3 x 10(-10) Pa•m3/s, pushing the limits of measurement.
