Kyocera Introduces Four New ASE Light Sources for Fiber-Optic Component Measurement and Testing
Vancouver, WA -- March 15, 2002 -- Kyocera today introduced four new ASE (Amplified Spontaneous Emission) light sources featuring superior output stability for use in fiber-optic component measurement and testing equipment:

  • Kyocera models ASE-101-M and ASE-102-M are C+L-band light sources with high spectrum density (-20dBm/nm) and high output power (101 over +13dBm / 102 over +14dBm). Both models are designed for wavelength-characteristic and PMD (polarization mode dispersion) measurement.

  • Kyocera's model ASE-104-M is a C-band light source for use in optical fiber sensing.

  • Kyocera's model ASE-106-M is a C-band near-Gaussian spectrum light source with high output power (over +13dBm) for use in optical-fiber gyroscope measurement and analysis.

The Electro-Optics Division of Kyocera Industrial Ceramics Corporation markets these new products throughout North America. For additional ASE light source product information, please contact:
