Kyocera Announces Adjustable Sleeves for Ceratip "Magic Drills"

MOUNTAIN HOME, NC (December 11, 1998) -- Ceratip now offers Adjustable Sleeves for its popular line of Magic Drills. Advantages of these adjustable sleeves include the ability to adjust the drilling diameter on machining centers; the ability to adjust the center height on lathe operations; and easy adjustment with incremental dial settings on the sleeve. Three sleeves are available to fit ¾," 1," and 1¼" Magic Drill shank sizes. Diameter adjustments on a machining center with inch-diameter drills are +.16 ~ -.008, and with metric diameter drills are +0.4mm ~ -0.2mm. Cutting height adjustments for lathe operations with inch-diameter drills are +.008 ~-.006, and with metric diameter drills are +0.2mm ~ -0.15mm.
