Kyocera's standard thin film overcoat is very smooth and hard. This smooth surface permits uniform contact between media and heater to provide excellent printing quality. For heavy-duty ticket or label printing or for very abrasive media, Kyocera can provide an even harder overcoat materials. The graph below compares these three materials.
