KYOCERA Monochrome Printers Honored with Editor’s Choice Award from Better Buys for Business

Three KYOCERA monochrome printers receive awards for their print quality, reliability, extensive feature set and significant cost savings over competitive products

Fairfield, New Jersey, March 7, 2005 – Kyocera Mita America, one of the world's leading document imaging companies, today announced that its FS-9120DN, FS-3820N and FS-3830N monochrome printers have all been honored with Editor’s Choice awards from Better Buys for Business, a highly regarded testing organization of office imaging equipment. This coveted award in the office equipment industry is bestowed upon models that serve as a benchmark of high quality, exceptional performance and quantifiable value.

“A number of things set Kyocera printers apart from the crowd, but none as significantly as their low total cost of ownership,” said Steve Hannaford, editor, Better Buys for Business. "The FS-9120DN, FS-3820N and FS-3830N are no exception, delivering quality and value to workgroups of all sizes. These devices combine the convenience of an office printer with the power and low operating cost of a high-end production printer.”

In selecting the Editor’s Choice award models, Better Buys for Business solicits and incorporates feedback from users about equipment performance, ease of use and brand satisfaction to recommend models that operate outstandingly in a "real-world” environment.

Suited for the small to large-sized workgroup, the FS-9120DN, FS-3820N and FS-3830N provide users with fast output speeds while offering a number of options tailored to meet the needs of the user’s document workflow. All three printers provide optional duplexing, sorting, stacking, additional paper sources and five-bin mailboxes and incorporate Kyocera’s mono-component ECOSYS printer technology, which allows toner to be replenished in the unit without disposal of the print drum. This not only cuts down the amount of waste, but also reduces toner replacement costs by two thirds compared to other printers.

Availability and Pricing
The FS-3820N, FS-3830N and FS-9120DN printers are available through authorized Kyocera Mita America independent dealers at an estimated street price of $899 for the FS-3820N, $980 for the FS-3830N and $2,720 for the FS-9120DN.
