Maine KYOCERA Dealer Awarded Prestigious BTA Excellence Award

Budget Document Technology Recognized as Reseller of the Year for 2005

Fairfield, New Jersey – April 4, 2005 – Kyocera Mita America, one of the world's leading document imaging companies, today announced that the Business Technology Association (BTA) honored Budget Document Technology, a Kyocera dealer in Lewiston, Maine with the 2005 Award of Excellence for Reseller of the Year in Category I—Under $3 Million in Annual Revenue. Nominees for Reseller of the Year are evaluated on financial performance, operations and marketing innovations, company vision and community involvement.

“Demonstrating excellence is our members’ main initiative,” said Bert Darling, BTA Executive Director. “BTA is continually impressed with the nominees and this year was no exception. Budget Document Technology represents one of the most successful independent resellers for 2005.”

“Budget Document Technology is honored to be recognized by BTA as being one of the most progressive dealerships,” said Tom Ouellette, president of Budget Document Technology. “Our dealership has made a commitment to providing our customers with superior products, service and support. We have maintained this commitment through our knowledgeable sales force, as well as our relationship with Kyocera. As a result, our company grew by almost thirty percent in 2004.”

The nominations are assessed by an independent evaluator who reviews the applications, scores them and notifies BTA of the winners in each of the three revenue categories. For industry comparisons, the evaluators use BTA’s financial benchmarking report, which details median performance of independent dealers by size of business. In addition to financial performance, they evaluate the dealerships’ operations, such as employee and customer programs and business growth patterns, strategic vision, and community and industry involvement.

“We are honored that one of our Kyocera dealers was recognized as a premier reseller,” said Ed Bialecki, Senior VP Sales, of Kyocera. “We take pride in knowing that our dealers understand the needs of their customers and the communities to which they serve. Budget Document Technology demonstrated that quality service is their utmost priority, and being recognized for their vision is extremely rewarding.”
