KYOCERA Wireless CDMA-Based Embedded Module to Power @Road Mobile Resource Management Solutions

San Diego and Fremont, CA -- (June 21, 2005) -- Kyocera Wireless Corp., a leading global manufacturer of CDMA wireless handsets and devices, and @Road® (Nasdaq: ARDI), a global provider of Mobile Resource Management (MRM) solutions, today announced that @Road will offer a family of MRM solutions featuring a CDMA-based in-vehicle iLM® (Internet Location Manager) embedded with the Kyocera 200 CDMA module. The Kyocera-enabled @Road iLM combines leading CDMA wireless technology with superior GPS and Internet technologies to assist today's fast-paced businesses to efficiently and effectively manage their mobile workers and resources, improve productivity and reduce operating costs. @Road iLM products embedded with the Kyocera 200 module have been approved for use on the two largest CDMA wireless networks in North America.

The @Road family of advanced MRM solutions, such as the @Road GeoManagerSM iLM, @Road PathwaySM iLM and @Road PorticoSM iLM, enable businesses to gain visibility on-demand into the daily activities of their mobile workers and resources -- from actual vehicle routes, starts and stops, to customizable maps showing mobile workforce or resource location relative to important landmarks. @Road MRM solution users can also upload customer and/or trip information into a routing engine and generate on-demand reports such as optimized routes for drive-time, fuel economy, city ordinance compliance and much more.

The range of features provided by the Kyocera 200 module allows @Road to offer a superior product with higher data speeds for enhanced applications, automatic data transmission without user intervention, patented technology to collect and process location-based information and rugged construction built to withstand harsh commercial environments.

"The Kyocera 200 module takes advantage of superior CDMA technology to deliver the sophisticated communication tools that enterprise customers need to measure overall mobile workforce performance and keep a competitive edge in their marketplaces," said Dean Fledderjohn, general manager of the M2M division at Kyocera Wireless Corp. "The @Road iLM integration is a dynamic MRM solution for managing today's fast-paced mobile business environment by delivering, receiving and acting on commands on demand as well as by providing efficiencies in business processes and practices."

"We wanted a wireless communications technology partner who could provide a rugged, economical and scalable CDMA-based embedded telemetric module for the @Road iLM," said Leo Jolicoeur, @Road chief marketing officer. "Kyocera's tested and proven Kyocera 200 module became the logical product choice. And because of its quality and performance, as well as our ability to easily integrate the Kyocera module into our proprietary technology, we will soon be able to rapidly and economically deploy the Kyocera-enabled @Road iLM within our family of MRM solutions."
