Kyocera to Introduce the CERATIP Strong Bar Boring Tool at Eastec 2003

Mountain Home, NC – March 26, 2003 – Kyocera will introduce the new CERATIP Strong Bar boring tool at Eastec 2003 to be held May 20-22 in Springfield, MA. The silver-coated Strong Bar will improve machining efficiency and reduce tooling costs. An internal damper within the shank greatly reduces vibration, thereby increasing machining accuracy and providing a smooth surface finish. A carbide core provides strength and rigidity. The silver coating guarantees a long tool life by resisting wear due to cut chips and by improved corrosion resistance. The Strong Bar is designed to hold CCMT and CCGT style inserts. These inserts are available in several standard grades, including the new cermet grades TN6020 and PV7020.

Kyocera will also feature a Star CNC Swiss machine lathe at the booth for demonstrating its broad line of Swiss tools. Kyocera will be located at booth #1121.
