Kyocera Mita's Annual Dealer Meeting Presents Multiple Strategic Initiatives As Company Gears Up For Rapid Growth

More Than 1000 Kyocera Mita Dealers and Resellers Convene in Las Vegas to Embrace New Strategies, Products and Forward Thinking Programs

Las Vegas, April 24, 2003 – Kyocera Mita, one of the world's leading document imaging companies, today opened its annual National Dealer Meeting to showcase the company’s much-anticipated strategic marketing objectives for the Americas. Newly appointed Kyocera Mita America president, Tony Pater, set the stage by announcing the goal of becoming a $1 billion company by 2006. Mike Pietrunti, vice president of marketing for Kyocera Mita unveiled a new branding initiative supported by a new advertising campaign, a certified dealer designation program launch with J.D. Power and Associates, a partnership with Monster.com to assist dealers to recruit new employees, and a multidimensional Web strategy, including an online training and certification program.

The Dealer Event served as a platform for top Kyocera Mita executives from the United States and Japan to speak directly to both dealers and customers alike. Kyocera Mita is working with J.D. Power and Associates, a first in the digital imaging industry, and provides a select group of Kyocera Mita Total Solution Provider dealers with the opportunity for outstanding customer service recognition, based on J.D. Power and Associates criteria. This notoriety will help dealers drive traffic, increase sales and differentiate themselves from their competitors. Ron Conlin, Partner, J.D. Power and Associates, represented the company at the event by discussing how to achieve outstanding customer service.

“Dealer participation is up significantly. We are excited to have over 1000 Kyocera Mita dealers represented in Las Vegas to share in our vision for the future,” said Michael Pietruni, vice president of marketing, Kyocera Mita. “Kyocera Mita has already proven that we can provide excellent technology to our dealers and their customers. We are now beginning the most aggressive portion of our growth plan, which will further differentiate Kyocera Mita from its competitors.”

Just coming off recent product awards and accolades, such as “Editor’s Choice” from Better Buys for Business, “Exceptional” and “Recommended” ratings from BERTL, Kyocera Mita is announcing four new products to the company’s product portfolio.
