U.S. Cellular Adds Four New Feature-Rich Wireless Handsets from KYOCERA Wireless to Holiday Offerings

SAN DIEGO and CHICAGO - (November 30, 2005) - Kyocera Wireless Corp., a leading global manufacturer of CDMA wireless phones and devices, and U.S. Cellular, a super-regional wireless company serving more than 5.2 million customers in 25 states, today announced the addition of four feature-packed Kyocera wireless handsets to the carrier's holiday lineup. All designed with Kyocera's renowned ease of use and stylish affordability, Candid (KX16), Milan (KX9B and KX9C), and Dorado (KX13) are available immediately, just in time for the gift-giving season.

Known for their simple and intuitive user interface that appeals to anyone from the tech savvy to wireless novices, Kyocera has designed these four handsets for a wide variety of users seeking the latest in the most popular technology at a price to fit most budgets.

Kyocera Candid (KX16)
The Kyocera Candid KX16 features the popular clamshell design and a VGA camera with built-in flash and 5-step digital zoom. An external vertical caller ID display allows quick viewing of incoming calls and dedicated side buttons for the camera and volume control offer instant access to key features. A powerful speakerphone, voice-activated dialing, vivid color display and ergonomic design with raised keypad for quick texting round out the key features most on-the-go mobile users want and use.

The VGA camera in Kyocera's Candid KX16 features a front-facing camera lens and flash so users can quickly capture moments without having to worry about moving the phone around or adjusting fingers away from the lens. The camera features include multi-shot adjustment, auto-focus, self-timer, white balance, color effects adjustment and fun frames to jazz up shots before sending them to friends.

The handset also features built-in polyphonic ring tones, screen savers, and caller alerts; easyedge (SM) for downloading the latest games, ringers, contacts and more*; predictive text input for rapid text messaging; and vibrate tones, screen savers, and caller alerts; easyedge (SM)  for downloading the latest games, ringers, contacts and more*; predictive text input for rapid text messaging; and vibrate alert. Productivity tools include an extensive contact directory, scheduler, calculator, alarm clock, world clock, stopwatch, tip calculator, countdown timer and voice memos.

The handset measures 3.54 in x 1.89 in x .98 in, weighs 3.9 oz and has a talk time of 3.5 hours and standby time of up to 170 hours.

Kyocera Milan KX9C
A compact clamshell with external caller ID and easy-to-use keypad for quick dialing and text messaging, Kyocera Milan KX9C offers a high-quality, 65,000-color display, speakerphone, easyedge(SM) for downloads of games, ringers and more.*

Kyocera Milan KX9B
Suited to the price-conscious consumer who simply wants a phone to make a call or send a quick text while enjoying the elegant style and convenient ease of use features Milan offers. The Milan KX9B, a U.S. Cellular TalkTracker® handset, is feature-packed yet very easy to use. Both Milans feature extensive productivity tools including speed dialing, two-way text messaging, contact directory, alarm, calculator, countdown timer, and scheduler, among others.

Milan measures 3.46 in x 1.88 in x .98 in, weighs 3.5 oz and has a talk time of 3.5 hours and standby time of up to 200 hours.

Kyocera Dorado KX13
The Kyocera Dorado KX13 is a slim bar-style phone with an internal antenna, built-in LED flashlight and a large, vivid color display. Its robust, front-ported speakerphone is ideal for hands-free talking and listening as well as for crisp, clear sound to play 32-chord polyphonic ringtones. Dorado's high-capacity battery offers superior performance, allowing up to 3.8 hours of CDMA talk time and up to 160 hours of standby time.

Kyocera Dorado KX13 also features predictive text-input software for rapid text entry on the phone's brilliant-blue backlit keypad. Measuring 4.37 in x 1.93 in. x .83 in and weighing only 3.7 ounces, the phone also includes standard features such as scheduler, calculator, alarm clock, stopwatch, tip calculator and a world clock.
