KYOCERA Introduces New MECX Fine Pitch Ultra Hurricane Endmill

Mountain Home, NC – October 12, 2006 – Kyocera Industrial Ceramics Corporation, Cutting Tool Division, is pleased to announce the release of the new MECX Fine Pitch Ultra Hurricane Endmill, featuring a unique insert design that provides excellent wall finish and high-squareness during shouldering or slotting cuts.

The MECX-Series Fine Pitch cutters are engineered to give higher productivity. The fine pitch design provides:

  • Increased Machining Efficiency
  • Low Cutting Forces
  • Lower Horsepower Machine Compatibility
  • Diameters ranging from 0.375” to 1.250”

Silver coating and a large chip pocket radius protect the tool. Inserts are available in cast iron (PR905), steel (PR830), and stainless steel (PR925) PVD coated carbide grades. The chipbreaker lineup consists of the JT for general purpose and the JS for low resistance.
