KYOCERA Mita America Advertising Campaign Tops Reader Polls in Forbes Magazine

Second KYOCERA Mita America Advertisement in Six Months to Rank Among Forbes’ Top Computer / Hardware / Peripheral Advertisements

FAIRFIELD, N.J., February 25, 2008 — Kyocera Mita America, Inc., one of the world's leading document solutions companies, announced today that its ‘Kyocera Kid Color’ advertising campaign, featured in the October 15, 2007 issue of Forbes magazine, received a “Best in Category” award for the Computers, Hardware / Peripherals category. This is the second advertisement in six months to rank among the top advertisements in Forbes.

The “Kyocera Kid Color” advertisement demonstrated a strong 62 percent reader recall rate when compared to other advertisements in the magazine; marking one of the most successful branding campaigns in its market.

Forbes magazine’s Strategic Research Group measures reader advertising awareness using the Subscriber Advertising Measurement (SAM) methodology, developed by Beta Research. The SAM system accurately measures print advertising awareness by measuring reader marketing / advertisement perception of 300 randomly selected subscribers.

“We are excited to learn that our two recent advertising campaigns in Forbes magazine are resonating well with our target audience,” said Peter Hendrick, vice president, Marketing, Kyocera Mita America. “We developed these campaigns to further our ‘People Friendly’ message, and are proud that our creative campaigns are raising brand recognition for Kyocera Mita America.”

Kyocera Mita America’s “Power of Printing” advertisement, which ran in the June 18, 2007 issue of Forbes received a “Best in Category” award for the Computers, Hardware / Peripherals category, and ranked among the top 10 branding campaigns that issue. Both advertisements are part of Kyocera Mita America’s highly successful ‘People Friendly’ brand campaign, now in its fifth year. The ‘People Friendly’ campaign and award-winning advertisements were created by Seiter & Miller, a full-service, independent advertising agency based in New York.
