KYOCERA MITA America and its Dealers Make Plans for "WINNING TOGETHER" at Annual National Meeting

New Color MFP line, Product Branding Campaign, Software Development Platform Introduced

Grapevine, Texas and Fairfield, NJ - September 16, 2008 - Kyocera Mita America, Inc., one of the world's leading document solutions companies, today revealed its plans for the launch of 15 new product models, a new product brand mark, corporate branding campaign, and its strategy to introduce a software development and integration platform, all at the company’s annual National Dealer Meeting being held this week.

Under the theme of "Winning Together", Kyocera acknowledged the critical role of the independent dealer channel, and how the company will help enable success through new corporate and product initiatives. In particular, Kyocera emphasized its new mid-range B2C color MFP series, set to launch in December 2008 in conjunction with the company’s new MFP product brand mark called TASKalfa.

Scalable from the small business to the enterprise, these first TASKafla models to be introduced will include four color MFPs ranging from 25-to-40 color pages per minute, all engineered with Kyocera’s new micro-particle toner technology and delivered with the company’s signature reliability and low total cost of service. New black and white MFP models will also carry the TASKalfa brand when launched.

Subsequent products, including new wide format, and 10 color and black and white printer models, will be rolled out in the next 12 months.

Kyocera also unveiled plans for its unique, customized application development platform called HyPAS (Hybrid Platform for Advanced Solutions), designed to extend the value of Kyocera’s popular MFPs through three delivery phases.

The first phase enables Kyocera to seamlessly integrate its select MFPs with popular, revenue-generating software such as Equitrac through both Java and Web Services applications. The second phase utilizes Kyocera’s professional services to provide dealers with customized applications via Java and Web Services SDKs. The third phase of HyPAS, to be launched within a year, will provide SDKs though a comprehensive third-party developer program, including web-based partner support.

"Kyocera’s annual dealer meeting is a valuable forum to collaborate with our dealer community, and establish our roadmap for future, shared success," said Peter Hendrick, vice president, Marketing, Kyocera Mita America. "Our theme, ‘Winning Together’ truly reflects the importance of working together to win customers and new market share as a result of solid products, service and relationships. We always look forward to this event and the tremendous momentum it generates, both for us and our dealers."

This year’s event was opened by Mr. Katsumi Komaguchi, president of Kyocera Mita Corporation, who shared the company’s global vision and its significance to Kyocera’s valued dealer partners, followed by Michael Pietrunti, president and CEO of Kyocera Mita America, who reported on Kyocera Mita America Group’s performance, and plans to foster closer communications with independent dealers through the creation of a formal Kyocera Dealer Council.

Finally, noted businessman and Hall of Fame Dallas Cowboy, Roger Staubach, delivered a motivational keynote, and shared his personal experiences and advice for building a winning team, both on the field and in the boardroom.

Kyocera Mita America’s National Dealer Meeting is being held at the Gaylord Texan Resort & Convention Center in Grapevine, Texas, September 15-17.
