Kyocera’s FS-C5300DN and FS-C5200DN Robust Workgroup Printers Deliver Cost-Effective Imaging Solutions

FAIRFIELD, N.J. – January 20, 2009 - Kyocera Mita America, Inc., one of the world's leading document solutions companies, today announced the launch of two new color printers, the FS-C5300DN and the FS-C5200DN. As part of Kyocera’s ECOSYS line of environmentally friendly printers, both Energy Star certified models utilize long-life consumables while consistently delivering high-quality image output.

Kyocera’s ECOSYS printers bring new levels of efficiency and performance combined with Kyocera low total cost of ownership to business color printing. With Kyocera’s ECOSYS technology, these new printers deliver the consistent quality, manageability and ultra reliability that Kyocera is recognized for throughout the industry.

For organizations seeking to meet the demand for vibrant business color printing while simultaneously managing costs, both models feature 600 dpi color with durable monthly maximum duty cycles of 100,000 pages for the FS-C5200DN (23 pages-per-minute) and 130,000 pages for the FS-C5300DN (28 ppm). Both models can print a broad range of materials made of a variety of paper stock, and come standard with a 500-sheet input tray and a standard 150-sheet multi-purpose tray (MPT). In addition to paper saving standard duplexing, both offer optional 500-sheet paper feeders that can support media up to 120 lb index. Maximum paper capacity (with options) is an impressive 2,150 sheets from five different paper sources to minimize refilling and changing paper types.

To maximize workgroup productivity and efficiency, the FS-C5300DN and FS-C5200DN feature standard networking, 256MB of memory (upgradeable to 1.28GB), high-speed USB 2.0 connectivity, PDF and Microsoft XPS file printing capability and departmental accounting or tracking capabilities for up to 100 account codes. The FS-C5300DN and FS-C5200DN can support various network operating systems, for seamless use across the office. Kyocera offers a multitude of flexible network and device management tools to enhance productivity and document output. These tools include KMnet Viewer, KMnet Admin, KMnet for Accounting and PrintQ Manager and can be deployed for optimized use across the organization. PrintQ Manager, a server-based software tool, allows companies to monitor, maintain and analyze print jobs and usage on all Kyocera networked printers. Kyocera offers the Color Optimizer, a plug-in that provides end-users printing in color to improve color matching on their critical business documents. In addition, Command Center refers to the web interface installed in the printers, allowing users to verify the operating status of the printer and make setting changes related to security and network printing. For businesses with heightened security or compliance requirements, the FS-C5300DN and FS-C5200DN comes standard with IPsec and IPcv6 support.
