KYOCERA MITA America Names Finalists, National Winner in Takin' it to the Streets TASKalfa Color MFP Series Contest

Dealer Sales Representatives Demonstrate Strong Aptitude in Competition

Fairfield, N.J. – September 28 2009 – Kyocera Mita America, Inc., one of the world's leading document solutions companies, today announced the winner and top four finalists of its Takin’ It to the Streets demo contest. This was the first-of-its-kind competition giving authorized Kyocera dealerships the opportunity to demonstrate their sales abilities on the award-winning series of TASKalfa 500ci color multifunctional products (MFPs).

Daniel Kim of KBA Docusys in San Francisco, California, took the top prize while regional honors were given to:

  • Cliff Koenitzer of National Business Equipment, in Albany, New York;
  • Michael Gale of Impact Networking, in Waukegan, Illinois;
  • Michael Benson of TechnoCom, in Matthews, North Carolina;
  • Tom McCarter of PTS Office Systems, in Las Cruces, New Mexico

“The participants in the Takin’ It to the Streets competition displayed a strong comprehension of the distinct advantages and capabilities of the TASKalfa color series and its ability to offer a new level of quality, productivity and cost-effectiveness for today’s office technology environment,” said Daniel Wolowitz, product and solutions marketing manager, Color MFPs for Kyocera Mita America. “This contest truly showed the participant’s understanding of end users requirements that make Kyocera’s authorized dealerships a valuable resource for addressing the document imaging needs of businesses of all sizes and specialties. We congratulate our national winner and regional finalists.”

This first-ever U.S. competition of live TASKalfa 500ci Series document imaging solution demonstrations offered the sales staff the opportunity to participate on behalf of their Kyocera authorized dealerships. Participants in the competition were required to submit written customer proposals and conduct a live demonstration of a total solution for a business customer. To be eligible for the contest, contestants were required to complete the solution online sales training from Kyocera.

Kyocera conducted regional competitions across the country and then invited the top regional winners to compete in the National Finals at the company’s U.S. headquarters in Fairfield, New Jersey.

Since shipping commenced in December 2008, every model of the TASKalfa 500ci series has earned BERTL’s Best for its strong color imaging capabilities, quick performance via a user friendly control panel and long life consumables benefits. BERTL, Inc., is a news, research and analyst service for the office technology industry.
