Kyocera Introduces One-Hour Battery Charger For Finecam Series Digital Cameras

New One-Hour Charger Works With All Finecam Models

PMA 2002, ORLANDO, FL -- February 24, 2002 -- Kyocera, maker of the Finecam S3, Finecam S3x and the Finecam S4, introduces the new Kyocera Quick Time Battery Charger offering one-hour battery charging for Kyocera Finecam users. The Quick Time Battery Charger takes the slow and tedious process of charging a digital camera battery and brings it into the 21st Century. The charger is designed for use with all of the Kyocera Finecam Lithium Ion batteries (BP-800 for the S3 and BP-900 for the S3x and S4).

The Quick Time Battery Charger is a dual function unit, acting as both an AC adapter and a battery charger. The unit has two pieces; a "transformer" and a charger. After plugging the transformer into the wall for power it can then be plugged directly into the Finecam, thereby using the transformer as an AC adapter to provide power directly to the camera in lieu of using the batteries. The transformer can also be plugged into the charger. Users who purchase an extra battery for the Finecam can charge a run-down battery in the charging bay while using the extra battery to keep shooting.

The Quick Time Charger has a lightweight, compact design with a folding plug that makes for easy storage and travel, and it could not be simpler to use. A red LED on the charger indicates that the battery is charging while a green LED indicates when the battery is fully charged. A green LED on the transformer indicates that the unit is working properly when plugged in. The charger also assists users as the AC adapter allows images to be viewed on the Finecam's LCD screen while conserving battery power. The speed of the Quick Time Battery Charger (usually one hour for a full charge) is especially helpful if one is charging a Finecam battery while on vacation or at an event where one would rather be taking photos.
