KYOCERA Mita America Continues to Broaden Digital Imaging Systems Portfolio with 25-page per Minute Desktop Digital MFP

The KM-2550 provides superior performance, standard network print and industry leading 300,000 drum yield at one of the most competitive prices in its class

Fairfield, New Jersey – October 12, 2004 - Kyocera Mita America, one of the world's leading document imaging companies, today introduced the KM-2550 digital imaging system. This feature-rich device joins the recently launched KM-1650, KM-1815 and KM-2050, complementing Kyocera’s complete line of cost-effective digital imaging solutions for workgroups and small offices.

With fast 25 page per minute output, the KM-2550 incorporates an extensive list of standard features intended to increase the productivity of any office environment. The KM-2550 was engineered with an industry leading 300,000 amorphous silicon drum yield for long lasting productivity and reduced downtime for schedule preventive maintenance. In addition, the device includes two 300-sheet paper drawers, a 50 sheet multi-purpose tray (MPT), 64MB of standard print and copy memory (upgradeable to 256MB for copy, 320MB for print), electronic and rotate sort, scan to e-mail (PDF, TIFF), scan to file (PC/Mac) and TWAIN scanning.

Standard network print is driven by a best in class PowerPC750/300 MHz processor and Fast 1200 dpi print resolution. The KM-2550 supports major page description languages, including Kyocera’s PRESCRIBE, PCL 6 (XL, 5e) and KPDL3. Additionally, the device can include the optional scan system and Super G3/Network fax system, which allows users to send and receive faxes from their desktop.

The device also offers an impressive list of options, including a 50-sheet document processor, stackless duplex, internal finisher and a job separator. The KM-2550 accepts 16 to 28 lb Bond via the drawers and 13 lb Bond to 90 lb Index via the multi purpose tray.

The KM-2550 digital MFP is available through authorized Kyocera dealers with pricing starting at $4,845 (MSRP). The unit measures 22.6" (W) x 23.3" (D) x 23.9" (H) and weighs approximately 120 pounds. Additional products for the workgroup, include the KM-1650 for $2,995, the KM-1815 for $1,170 and the KM-2050 priced at $3,545 (MSRP).
