KYOCERA Mita America Expands Line of Full Color, Cost-Efficient Digital Imaging Solutions

Kyocera’s FS-C8026N offers end-user enhanced finishing capabilities, standard duplex printing, superior networking and low total cost of ownership

November 15, 2004 – Fairfield, New Jersey – Kyocera Mita America, one of the world's leading document imaging companies, demonstrates its commitment to the ever-growing color market with the introduction of the FS-C8026N 26 page per minute (ppm), color and monochrome ECOSYS printer.

This full-color, workgroup printer maintains Kyocera’s industry leading low total cost of ownership, by incorporating Kyocera’s mono-component ECOSYS printer technology, which allows toner to be replenished in the unit without disposal of the print drum. This not only cuts down the amount of waste, but also reduces toner replacement costs by two thirds compared to other printers.

”The FS-C8026N further demonstrates Kyocera’s commitment to the expanding color market, specifically in the 21 to 30 pages per minute (ppm) segment,” said Steve Pearl, director of product and solutions marketing. “This launch continues Kyocera’s proven track record of product and network reliability across the entire printer and MFP product portfolio, our advanced suite of software and utilities, and the lowest total cost of ownership in document imaging industry.”

Using an advanced four drum tandem process, the FS-C8026N yields crisp color images and text up to 600 x 600 multi bit dpi resolution. In addition, it is powered by an embedded PowerPC750CXe/600 MHz processor for fast output, even for your most complex documents. The printer comes with a standard 512MB RAM and a standard 20GB hard disk drive, which provides additional features such as quick copy, proof and hold, private print, job storage and virtual mailbox.

Users can design the FS-C8026N with either of two paper configurations, both of which hold up to 11x 17” paper – 3,000 sheets or three 500-sheet drawers – both come standard with a multi-purpose tray that holds 150 sheets. In addition, the FS-C8026N comes standard with duplex printing and can be designed with a list of advanced finishing options to meet your needs. Options include a 3,000 sheet staple finisher, a 2 and 3-hole punch unit, a multi tray, a booklet folder for papers sizes of 8.5” x 11” or 11” x 17” and a 500-sheet face-up tray.

The FS-C8026N supports most major page description languages (PDL) KPDL3, PCL 6 (PCL 5c/5e/XL), KC-GL and Kyocera’s PDL PRESCRIBE. In addition, the printer includes standard 10/100 BaseTX Ethernet Interface for seamless network integration, as well as an optional wireless interface the IB-22.

Availability and Pricing
Both versions of the FS-C8026N printer are available through authorized Kyocera resellers and independent dealers at a manufacturer's suggested retail price of $9,498.
