KYOCERA MITA America Strengthens Copystar Channel for Future Growth
Systems Integrator / VAR Group to merge with Copystar for more effective channel coordination
December 7, 2004 – Fairfield, New Jersey – Kyocera Mita America, Inc. today announced the integration of its Systems Integrator (SI)/VAR Group into its Copystar Division. Kyocera Mita America’s Copystar division markets under its own brand the complete line of Kyocera multifunctional products (MFP) as well as Kyocera brand printers. Copystar has been on an aggressive growth incline for the past two years under the leadership of Peter Morisco, vice president of sales, Copystar division, and now accounts for a significant portion of Kyocera Mita America’s U.S. dealer sales.
This transition will improve the printer resellers ability to align themselves with the demands of IT and business professionals looking for cost-effective, integrated MFP and printing solutions that provide seamless integration in any networked environment. This also positions the Copystar division for strong future growth and market share expansion as it assimilates new channel competencies and focuses upon achieving increased penetration into the enterprise environment.
“The success of the Copystar division is a result of our hard work and efforts to construct a quality business model,” said Ed Bialecki, senior vice president, sales, U.S.-based dealer/reseller and direct sales operations for Kyocera Mita America. “Our corps of Copystar dealers has responded and over the past two years, the Copystar division has been a leader in Kyocera Mita America’s overall growth achievement. The merger of the Kyocera SI/VAR Group with Copystar will significantly enhance the efficiency and capabilities of the newly combined group, blending expanded printing and network competencies with an end-to end product line, and providing Copystar the solutions and sales tools necessary to acquire and retain their customers.”
The combination of these two divisions is a major step forward for the organization that is already on record pace for generated revenue. The company expects this newly expanded Copystar division to break the $200 million barrier within three years.
