VIVO Encontra GPS Service Now Available on KYOCERA Wireless Handset

VIVO's new Localiza GPS service makes it easier to locate friends, relatives and loved ones using your KYOCERA phone

Sao Paulo -- (March 3, 2005) -- Kyocera Wireless Corp., a leading global manufacturer of CDMA wireless phones and devices, today announced that users of Kyocera's SoHo handset now have access to the VIVO Localiza (VIVO Finds) GPS service, offered by VIVO Encontra. The application is available in more than 272 cities in Brazilian states including Amazonas, Amapá, Bahia, Distrito Federal, Espírito Santo, Goiás, Mato Grosso do Sul, Mato Grosso, Pará, Paraná, Rio de Janeiro, Rio Grande do Sul, Santa Catarina, Sergipe and São Paulo.

With VIVO Localiza, developed in partnership with Wiz Technologies, Kyocera handsets can find (and be located by) other wireless phones to track down friends, relatives and loved ones, identifying the location of the phone in the form of a map. The service guarantees privacy; that means the person to be found has to authorize it.

The service is immediately available by entering the "Downloads" catalog of the Kyocera handset and selecting VIVO Localiza. The prices are based on the number of "finds" requested: one find costs R$5,99; three finds is R$7,99, while five finds is R$9,00 - plus the cost of the data traffic for all usage.

Fábio Castanheira, Regional Sales Director for Kyocera Wireless Corp. in Brazil, the localizing services now offered through VIVO Encontra on Kyocera handsets could dramatically improve life quality.
