KYOCERA Mita America Unveils Solutions to Enhance Document Workflow Efficiency and Security

KYOCERA Data Security Kit and PCL Barcode Flash Added to KYOsolutions Suite of Advanced Applications Designed to Maximize ROI on Document Imaging Investments

Fairfield, New Jersey – January 27, 2005 - Kyocera Mita America, one of the world's leading document imaging companies, today introduced two new offerings to the KYOsolutions Suite of advanced applications, designed to enhance the performance, ease-of-use and security of Kyocera office systems. The Kyocera Data Security Kit and PCL Barcode Flash solutions provide companies customized solutions for managing and protecting the security of information, as well as more flexible, cost-effective barcode printing.

Data Security Kit – An advanced solution designed to help companies protect the privacy of information across select Kyocera multifunctional, integrated office systems. The Kyocera Data Security Kit acts as a powerful “memory scrubber” that automatically overwrites information that remains on an MFP’s hard drive after each copy, print and scan job is completed. This works to prevent unauthorized user access to confidential information retained in the device’s internal memory, thus reducing the threat of a security breach.

Kyocera PCL Barcode Flash – This software solution expands the proven PRESCRIBE barcode printing capabilities of Kyocera printers and multifunctional systems with an extensive set of additional PCL-based barcodes. With 45 one-dimensional and two-dimensional fonts, the Kyocera PCL Barcode Flash boosts the flexibility of your barcode print applications, and lets you exploit the low total cost of ownership and reliability of Kyocera printers for all your barcode printing requirements.

“In today’s economic environment, companies are constantly seeking means of increasing the efficiency and security of their office solution investments, “said Steve Pearl, director of product and solutions marketing at Kyocera Mita America. “Kyocera is committed to developing software and solutions that improve information management, boost efficiency and streamline customer workflow operations across an organization. The Data Security Kit and PCL Barcode Flash are the latest in a full suite of KYOsolutions.”

Leveraging Kyocera’s extensive technology and business process expertise, KYOsolutions enable organizations to optimize the performance and capabilities of their Kyocera devices to achieve maximum return on investment. All KYOsolutions are designed to help companies work more productively, efficiently and cost-effectively. Other KYOsolutions will be announced in February, which includes a portfolio of document capture and workflow solutions fully integrated with Kyocera multifunctional products.
