KYOCERA Mita America Recognized for Best Workflow Management Application

BERTL names KYOcapture “BERTL’S Best” in 2005 in the category of Best Workflow Management Application

Fairfield, New Jersey, May 16, 2005 – Kyocera Mita America, one of the world’s leading document imaging companies, today announced that KYOcapture, a server-based Document Capture Workflow Solution, has been honored with the BERTL’s Best Award in the category of Best Workflow Management Application. The Best Award highlights software solutions that excel in areas including fleet management, cost control, network security, document workflow, archiving and distribution.

KYOcapture, powered by Notable Solution Inc.’s (NSi) AutoStore technology, provides a single platform, which enables companies to easily and seamlessly capture, process and route information directly from the control panel of the MFP. Hardcopy or electronic documents are captured through multiple sources including MFPs, digital copiers and scanners, e-mail, desktops, wireless devices, and fax equipment from various manufacturers. Following capture, documents can be processed through a variety of applications including OCR, despeckling, text smoothing and others before the final stage of the process is undertaken. The final stage in the KYOcapture workflow process involves the routing of the captured and processed documents to multiple final destinations, including both a customer’s existing and new business applications. KYOcapture can be set up to automatically capture, process and route information, which eases IT administrative requirements and reduces end-user training.

Kyocera was chosen for this award based on two key solution differentiators: KYOcapture’s unique and powerful Bi-Directional Look-Up capability, which allows users to validate indexed information with their company’s database and automatically input to the indexing field from a phone or client list, and ABMSync which synchronizes Lotus Notes or MS Exchange user profiles across the network with one or more devices.

“Kyocera is committed to the development of software and solutions that improve information management, boost efficiency, and streamline customer workflow operations across an organization,” said Michael Pietrunti, senior vice president, marketing and technical services, for Kyocera Mita America. “This is a significant recognition for Kyocera given that BERTL’s Best awards only the top devices and software in the digital imaging marketplace, selected by some of the most experienced, technically savvy and discerning equipment buyers and users.

BERTL’s analysts review current and new product introductions to identify a select group of devices and software that stand apart from the average.
