KYOCERA Wireless Announces Dorado KX13 Mobile Phone at the BREW 2005 Conference
BREW-Enabled Phone Includes Large Color Screen and Front-Ported Speakerphone for Enhanced Sights and Sounds in Gaming, Ringtones and Wallpapers
San Diego -- (June 2, 2005) -- Kyocera Wireless Corp., a leading global manufacturer of CDMA wireless phones and devices, today unveiled a new wireless phone called the Kyocera Dorado KX13 at the BREW™ 2005 Conference. A slim bar-style phone with a large color screen and a front-facing speakerphone, Dorado KX13 is an ideal platform for games or ringtones, which can be downloaded over the air via BREW or Java™. The Kyocera Dorado KX13 is a slim entry-level bar-style phone with an internal antenna, built-in LED flashlight and a large, vivid color display. Its robust, front-ported speakerphone is ideal for hands-free talking and listening as well as for crisp, clear sound to play 32-chord polyphonic ringtones. Dorado's high-capacity battery offers superior performance, allowing up to 3.8 hours of CDMA talk time and up to 160 hours of standby time.
Kyocera Dorado KX13 also features predictive text-input software for rapid text entry on the phone's brilliant-blue backlit keypad. Equipped with a WAP 2.0 browser for Web access and capable of supporting BREW 2.1 or Java, Dorado can download wallpapers, screensavers, games and ringtones directly over the air to augment those included on the phone. Measuring 4.37 in. x 1.93 in. x .83 in. and weighing only 3.7 ounces, the phone also includes standard features such as scheduler, calculator, alarm clock, stopwatch, tip calculator and a world clock.
