KYOCERA Mita America Launches 18 Page-Per-Minute Monochrome Multi-Functional Product

KYOCERA KM-1820 provides robust network capabilities combined with exceptional output quality

Fairfield, New Jersey – July 18, 2005 -- Kyocera Mita America, Inc., one of the world’s leading document imaging companies, today introduced the KM-1820 monochrome multi-functional product (MFP.) Perfect for small offices and workgroups, the KM–1820 offers robust color scanning capabilities and an optional fax system. A small footprint workhorse, the KM-1820 provides exceptional printing, scanning, copying and fax features that allow users to maximize productivity.

As a single device that meets many office document needs, the KM-1820 gives users the simplicity of a standard copier plus printing, scanning and faxing functions. The KM-1820 comes with a long list of standard features, including a 250 sheet paper drawer, a 50 sheet multi-purpose tray (MPT), 96MB of standard print and copy memory (upgradeable to320MB), electronic sort, color scan ring including scan to email, scan to FTP and scan to folder via SMB, (Mono: PDF, TIFF; Color: PDF, JPEG) and includes a maximum volume of 15,000 pages per month. As crisp, clear imaging is at the heart of Copystar’s products, this MFPs has the option of selecting from professional quality print output: 600 x 600 dpi, fast 1200 mode, and 2400 x 600 dpi interpolated resolution via Kyocera Image Refinement (KIR).

In addition, the KM-1820 can be configured to include an optional 50-sheet document processor and an additional 250-sheet paper drawer. The device accepts 16-28 lb bond from the paper drawers, and 16 lb bond to 90 lb Index from the MPT can easily process plain and recycled paper, transparencies and envelopes.

Availability and Pricing
The KM-1820 is available through authorized Kyocera Mita America dealers at a manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP) of $1170. The unit measures 14.9” (W) x 14.7” (D) x 3.1” (H) and weighs 4.8 lbs.
