KYOCERA Introduces New MEC-Series Ultra Hurricane Endmill and Facemill

Mountain Home, NC – October 4, 2005 – Kyocera Industrial Ceramics Corporation, Cutting Tool Division, is pleased to announce the release of the new MEC Tool Series, Ultra Hurricane Endmills and Facemills, featuring a unique insert design providing excellent wall finish and high squareness during shouldering or slotting cuts.

The maximum rpm is indicated on the body of the cutter. A silver coating and larger chip pocket radius protect the tool. Kyocera offers 14 endmills with cutting diameters from 1/2" to 1 ½” and shank sizes from ½" to 1¼". There are also five shellmills with cutting diameters from 1½" to 4". There are six insert radii, 0.016", 0.031", 0.047", 0.063", 0.079", and 0.122" available in cast iron, steel, and stainless steel grades.
