Kyocera Mita Printers Land "Editor's Choice" Awards from Better Buys for Business

Fairfield, New Jersey, March 12, 2003 – Kyocera Mita, one of the world's leading document imaging companies, today announced that it has been honored with two Editor’s Choice awards by highly regarded testing organization Better Buys for Business. The 2003 Mid-Volume Monochrome Printer Guide from Better Buys for Business reports that Kyocera Mita FS-1800+ and FS-1800N+ (19 pages per minute) printers have been named the best overall buys and best performing products in their category. They demonstrate low cost of operation and strong paper handling, coupled with an economical purchase price when compared with competing brands. Also included in the report is a review of Kyocera Mita’s FS-3800 (25 pages per minute) printer product family.

According to Better Buys for Business, “Each machine stacks up well against the competition. The FS-1800 and FS-3800 families boast some of the lowest operating costs of any printer in the guide – less than 0.7 cents a page. That’s a lot cheaper than the competition, and if you use these printers anywhere close to their duty cycles, it means a remarkable amount of savings.”

The report also highlights some additional advantages utilizing the FS-1800 and FS-3800 product lines, including strong paper handling capabilities, higher-than-usual print volumes, low operating costs, processing power (200MHz PowerPC chip), multiple original printing standard and optional hard drive. The devices also offer two-sided printing and envelope-feeding options as well as an optional embedded wireless (802.11b, Wi-Fi compliant) Ethernet card.
