Kyocera Mita Introduces Multi-Functional Imaging Systems for Corporate Color and High Quality Black and White Printing

Fairfield, New Jersey November 26, 2002 - Kyocera Mita, one of the world's leading document imaging companies, today introduced two new multi-functional color devices, the KM-C2030 and the KM-C3130. The KM-C2030 and KM-C3130, which were both awarded an Editors Choice from Better Buys for Business, offer unparalleled reliability, superior quality color and back and white output, and a comprehensive list of finishing features that are critical to short-run projects and departmental activities.The KM-C2030 provides color output speeds of 20 pages per minute (ppm) with 31 ppm for monochrome; while the KM-C3130 produces 31 ppm for both color and monochrome. From a standard feature point of view, the KM-C2030 and KM-C3130 come with a 250 Sheet Multi-Purpose Drawer, 500 Paper Drawer, with the ability to handle full-bleed paper and up to 140 lb. Index through the Multi-Purpose Drawer. Additionally, both devices provide the customer with an impressive list of finishing options, including Saddle-Stitch for booklet production, V-Fold, Multi-Position Staple and Hole-Punch.

By combining Kyocera Mitas color devices with highly efficient document management tools, customers can expect to produce high quality color document in an efficient, cost-effective manner.
Combining Kyocera Mitas KM-C2030 and KM-C3130 devices with the optional Electronics For Imagings (NASDAQ: EFII) Fiery X3e+ embedded print controller, enables an entire workgroup to increase productivity by creating finished, full-color documents right from the users computer. The optional embedded Fiery X3e+ print controller offers customers the ability to perform network Scanning, Printing, Internet Fax and overall network management. For scanning, the user has the ability to take an entire page, or just a portion, save the document as a JPEG, PDF or TIFF, and retrieve the files using Fiery WebScan. The optional network scanning capability is TWAIN compliant and provides the user with Scan to HDD, Scan to eMail, and Scan to FTP with the benefits of 31 scans per minute at up to 600 dpi resolution.
Additionally, the KM-C2030 and KM-C3130 offer network Printing and Internet Fax. For network Printing, the device includes a Pentium III 700 MHz processor, 10 GB hard drive and standard 128 MB of RAM (Upgradeable to 256 MB). The KM-C2030 and KM-C3130 support the major page description languages Adobe Postscript 3 and PCL5e. Through the Internet Fax option, both devices can send TIFF files as e-mail attachments to a PC or to an optional third tray of the finisher.
The KM-C2030 and KM-C3130 include long-life components and utilize polymerized toner, the latest in toner technology. Polymerized toner provides end users with sharper printed detail, higher quality reproduction, and eliminates fuser oil; which increases the devices efficiency and reduces unscheduled maintenance.
KM-C2030 and KM-C3130 Pricing and Availability:
The KM-C2030 imaging system is available today and pricing starts at $14,195 (MSRP). The KM-C3130 is also available and is priced at $17,395 (MSRP). The optional Fiery X3e+ print controller is available for $4,490 (MSRP)
The units measure 23.5" (W) x 31" (D) x 40.5" (H). With the finisher and 4,000 sheet large capacity drawer, the devices weigh approximately 230 lbs.
