Troy Wireless and Kyocera Mita Sign Agreement to Provide Wireless Connectivity Capabilities for Digital Imaging Products

Kyocera Mita Dealers Will Sell TROY’s 802.11b Wi-Fi and Bluetooth™ Wireless Product Lines combined with Kyocera Mita’s IB-22 Wireless LAN Interface for True Wireless Connectivity

Santa Ana, California and Fairfield, New Jersey, October 24, 2002 -- TROY Wireless, a division of TROY Group Inc. (NASDAQ: TROY) and a leader in both wireless and wired network connectivity, and Kyocera Mita, one of the world's leading document imaging companies, today announced a strategic marketing agreement to provide wireless connectivity solutions to Kyocera Mita’s network of dealers across the United States.

This partnership will allow dealers to combine Kyocera Mita’s recently announced IB-22 Integrated Wireless Network Interface with TROY’s 802.11b Wi-Fi or Bluetooth products. This partnership will enable the end-user to achieve complete wireless connectivity on Kyocera Mita’s entire line of printers and multi-functional products.

TROY's Chairman and CEO, Patrick Dirk, said: "We are pleased that Kyocera Mita, a leading provider of digital imaging solutions, has chosen Troy's 802.11b and Bluetooth products as their wireless solution. Their extensive dealer network is an ideal sales channel for our wireless connectivity products.”

"The TROY Wireless products are a great complement to Kyocera Mita’s recently announced IB-22 enhanced wireless LAN interface,” said Michael Pietrunti, vice president, marketing for Kyocera Mita. “End-users can use these solutions for true wireless document processing, and keep the same functionality as a hardwired network. TROY is one of the few companies that provides both 802.11b and Bluetooth connectivity capabilities, which are critical to wireless capabilities for our customers. As a result, our dealers will now have a competitive advantage because they will be able to offer leading edge digital imaging products designed with wireless connectivity using the latest technologies.”

The TROY Wireless products covered in this agreement include:
– EtherWind 802.11b print server. The EtherWind connects any Kyocera Mita digital imaging product to an 802.11b wireless network.
– WindConnect Bluetooth print adapter. The WindConnect provides Bluetooth wireless connectivity on Kyocera Mita digital imaging products.
– EtherSync 802.11b PC card. The EtherSync enables 802.11b wireless capabilities on most laptop computers.
