Kyocera Mita America, Inc. Expands Workgroup Digital Imaging System Portfolio with Copy, Print/Scan and Fax Capabilities
Fairfield, New Jersey - September 16, 2002 - Kyocera Mita America, Inc. (KMA), one of the world's leading document imaging companies, today announced the expansion of its multi-functional line of copier products with the introduction of the KM-4030 Imaging System. The KM-4030 provides end-users with 40 page per minute (First image out in 3.9 seconds) output speed and 600 dot image quality. The unit also provides workgroups with optimal print/scan and fax/network fax capabilities at the highest quality and affordability.
The KM-4030 comes with a variety of features that are critical to users and larger workgroups, including: a well-designed control panel and an ultra-wide Touch Screen Interface (TSI) which makes the KM-4030 feature set easy to use and virtually error-free. An additional feature in the TSI is the ability to customize the basic screen, add shortcut keys and tailor the user choice screen with preferred feature selections. The unit also provides optional stapling, 2 or 3 hole punch and booklet saddle stitching for complete document production flexibility.
The KM-4030 demonstrates Kyocera Mitas commitment to providing customers with the most essential capabilities, the highest print quality and quickest page per minute today, said Michael Pietrunti, vice president of marketing at Kyocera Mita America. The features included in the KM-4030 are meant to improve productivity, reliability and keep costs down for our customers. Feedback from our dealers and their customers has been very strong and they agree that with the addition of the KM-4030, KMAs product portfolios form a complete document image solution.
The KM-4030 Image System allows end-users to connect to their networks without complication. These options include: 40 page per minute printing, scan to file (PC or Macintosh computers), scan to email, advanced file indexing and keyword searching. These features allow the user to manage both the hardcopy and electronic document with ease and reliability and expand the possibilities of their finished product. Additionally, the KM-4030 provides the user with the ability to transmit and receive faxes over the network, and utilize the unit as a traditional fax machine.
By allowing Kyocera Mitas digital imaging systems to share design concepts and technologies, end-users are able to fully utilize and share network utilities, print drivers, wireless network connections, copier and scanning interfaces. Backed by one of the most comprehensive warranty in the industry, the KM-4030 comes with a long life amorphous silicon drum. This means that the Kyocera Mita Imaging System provides the user with more copies, prints and reduced maintenance time on the unit compared to competing brands.
