Kyocera Mita America Launches Analyst-Validated "Total Cost of Ownership" Tracker
Visit www.kyoceramita.com/go5016 to calculate savings for the enterprise
September 22, 2003 – Fairfield, New Jersey - Kyocera Mita has launched its TCO Tracker, a web-based interactive tool that demonstrates how much money Kyocera Mita printers can save an organization. The TCO Tracker, which is accessible at www.kyoceramita.com/go5016, utilizes market data provided from ARS, Inc., a leading market intelligence firm in the printer and imaging products industry. TCO Tracker allows end users to calculate how much money they will save versus competing monochrome and color printers using customizable criteria determined by the user.
“Kyocera Mita is the only manufacturer to provide complete total costs associated with owning a printer,” said Michael Pietrunti, vice president, marketing at Kyocera Mita. “While other manufacturers claim they may have TCO calculators, we’re showing the real numbers, as tracked by a third party analyst. In fact, we allow each user to input criteria specific to their enterprise, such as percent of coverage, number of printers and monthly volume. In addition, the database is updated monthly by ARS, Inc. This allows end users to track their costs and get a real, tangible number representing the amount an enterprise could be saving with Kyocera Mita.”
For example if an enterprise purchases 25 of the FS-C5016N, a 17ppm workgroup color printer, and runs an average of 5,000 color prints per machine per month, it can save hundreds of thousands of dollars in a single year versus the most competitive products currently in the marketplace. Even a single FS-C5016N can save a typical company an average of $10,000 during the course of one year.
