KYOCERA MITA Introduces 21 PPM ECOSYS Monochrome Laser Printer for Under $600

KYOCERA MITA's FS-1020D offers low total cost of ownership (TCO), small footprint and high-quality output

Fairfield, New Jersey, October 20, 2003 - Kyocera Mita, one of the world's leading document imaging companies, today announced the availability of its next generation monochrome laser ECOSYS printer, the FS-1020D. The printer has a fast 21 page per minute output yield (first print out in less than 10 seconds), standard duplex and produces crisp 600 dpi graphics and text. Utilizing ECOSYS technology, the FS-1020D can boast an ultra low $.012 (MSRP) per monochrome page cost.

The FS-1020D includes a standard paper capacity of 250 sheets, plus a multi-purpose tray that can accommodate 50 sheets (550 maximum paper supply). It can process letter and legal size paper up to 90 lb bond. The printer comes with 16MB of standard printer memory upgradeable to 272MB. The FS-1020D also is designed with a fast PowerPC405 266 MHz CPU – which processes documents quickly for maximum productivity and minimum wait time.

The printer can support most operating systems and print description languages, including PRESCRIBE, PCL6 (PCL XL PCL5e) and KPDL3 (Postscript 3 Emulation). Users can integrate the Kyocera Mita-developed IB-22 embedded wireless interface. This interface allows users to place the FS-1020D wherever they need maximum productivity without the cost of running additional network cabling.

The FS-1020D is backed with an industry-leading one-year warranty on parts and labor from the date of install. The unit measures 14.9" (W) x 14.8" (D) x 9.3" (H) and weighs approximately 23.2 lbs. The FS-1020D is Energy Star compliant.
