Tampa KYOCERA MITA Office Equipment Dealer Recognized by J.D. Power and Associates as a Certified Dealer for Customer Service Excellence

Dex Imaging, Inc. Exceeds Benchmark Standards

Fairfield, New JerseyNovember 19, 2003 — Dex Imaging, Inc., a Kyocera Mita dealer in Tampa, Fla., has been recognized for customer service excellence under the new J.D. Power and Associates Certified Dealer Program.

The certification program was established earlier this year to recognize office equipment dealers for outstanding customer satisfaction, based on industry-wide benchmarks established by the J.D. Power and Associates 2003 Copier Customer Satisfaction Study. Certification is based on customer satisfaction with an office equipment dealer’s product knowledge, expertise in machine operation, ability to advise customers about their specific needs, and timely delivery of the equipment. Additional areas covered by the program are the ability to schedule service appointments in a timely manner, concern for customer needs and clear explanations of the services performed.

Kyocera Mita America commissioned J.D. Power and Associates to develop a first-of-its-kind program for the office equipment and imaging industry. The program surveys its dealer customers and certifies those dealers that meet or exceed national benchmarks for sales and service customer satisfaction.

“Dex Imaging has worked tremendously hard to provide its customers with the highest level of customer service,” said Daniel Doyle, Jr., President of Dex Imaging, Inc. “This J.D. Power and Associates award validates that claim and its worldwide brand will distinguish Dex from its competitors. We’re honored to be a Certified Dealer and look forward to continuing our long-term success in the office equipment business.”

“We are pleased to work with Kyocera Mita and its dealers to set a high standard for customer service in their office equipment industry,” said Ron Conlin, partner with J.D Power and Associates. “Dex Imaging has distinguished itself by providing a world-class sales and service experience as demonstrated in customer responses to a battery of sales- and service-related questions.”

“The J.D. Power and Associates certification provides Kyocera Mita Total Solution Provider dealers with the opportunity not only to be recognized for providing an outstanding customer experience but to differentiate themselves within the dealer marketplace, helping to contribute to increased customer traffic and higher sales,” said Michael Pietrunti, vice president of marketing at Kyocera Mita America. “This certification will position Dex Imaging as an industry-wide leader in customer satisfaction.”

Certification is valid for one year, after which the dealer may apply for re-certification.
