Las Vegas, NV - April 15, 2004 – Kyocera Mita America, one of the world's leading document imaging companies, today opened its 2004 National Dealer Meeting to deliver its strategic vision for the future of the company. The annual dealer meeting serves as a platform for Kyocera Mita executives from the United States and Japan to meet with dealers and resellers and discuss the company’s goals, as well as outline objectives for the coming year.

Tony Pater, president of Kyocera Mita America, set the tone for the meeting in the opening general session by introducing the company’s theme for the year, “Building the Best.” Under this overarching theme, Kyocera Mita America is committed to providing the most reliable and technologically advanced line-up of multi-functional products and printers in the industry. In addition, the Company is dedicated to growing their printer business by more than 50 percent, increasing the already high level of customer satisfaction, and elevating the Company’s brand awareness through aggressive communications initiatives.

“In today’s competitive environment, it is our goal to equip our dealers and resellers with the solutions and sales tools necessary to acquire and retain their customers,” said Michael Pietrunti, senior vice president for Kyocera Mita America. “What this means is continually seeking ways to differentiate Kyocera Mita America from the competition through product innovation, communicating the brand benefits and strategic software development alliances.”

As a first step toward reaching the goals Kyocera Mita America has set forth, below are a few of the dealer support programs and initiatives unveiled at the National Dealer Meeting:

Kyocera Document Solutions – Recently, Kyocera Corporation, and Kyocera Mita Corporation announced the global transition to the Kyocera brand mark. This decision marks the beginning of building a stronger, global position for Kyocera Mita America, and all Kyocera group companies. In order to clearly define Kyocera Mita America’s brand strength to end-users in the document imaging and document capture markets the Company will use Kyocera Document Solutions to identify its products.

Kyocera Document Capture Software “Powered by AutoStore” – Kyocera Mita America formed a strategic development agreement with Notable Solutions, Inc. (NSi) which will bring together Kyocera Mita America’s industry-leading reliability and lowest total cost of ownership and NSi’s best in class document capture framework.

Branding Initiative Supported by a New Advertising Campaign – Kyocera Mita America today launched a multi-million dollar advertising campaign that will utilize a variety of broadcast and print outlets in traditional and non-traditional media. The campaign builds upon the Company’s brand promise of simplicity and further defines what “People Friendly” and advanced technology mean to the end-user.

Certified Document Imaging Architect Certification (CDIA+) – With CDIA+ Certification, dealers and resellers are assured they have the most knowledgeable and qualified document imaging sales representatives working for them.
