KYOCERA Mita America Unveils Strategic Product and Technology Initiatives at National Dealer Meeting

Over 1500 KYOCERA and Copystar Attendees Gather to Preview New KYOCERA Products and Initiatives

Orlando, FL -- April 19, 2006 -- Kyocera Mita America, one of the world's leading document imaging companies, today opened its fiscal year 2007 National Dealer Meeting at the JW Marriott Orlando Grande Lakes Resort. The annual dealer meeting serves as a forum to reinforce Kyocera’s strong commitment to its dealer channel, and to introduce dealers to Kyocera’s new product offerings and organizational goals for the fiscal year.

Mike Pietrunti, president and chief operating officer of Kyocera Mita America, set the tone for the meeting in the opening general session by introducing the company’s theme for the year, “Expect the Best.” This overarching theme highlights the superlative quality that dealers expect from Kyocera and that end users expect from dealers.

“The theme of this year’s meeting reflects the highest standards to which we hold ourselves accountable as a company and represents the unwavering dedication of our dealers to their customers,” said Peter Hendrick, vice president of marketing, Kyocera Mita America. “As we move into the next fiscal year, we look forward to working in partnership with our dealers to continue providing service of the highest quality along with best-in-class products and solutions that work in any business environment.”

Below are a few of the dealer support programs and initiatives unveiled at this year’s National Dealer Meeting:

Enhancing Brand Awareness With People Friendly
Kyocera’s new multi-million dollar integrated advertising campaign builds on the company’s brand promise of “Simplicity” and further definines what “People Friendly” and advanced technology mean to the end-user. The campaign includes new print ads, television, and radio spots that feature the “When You’re Smiling” theme song. The television ads will run on a variety of cable news stations while print ads will be featured in the Wall Street Journal, as well as other business, IT and vertical publications.

Document Solutions for Organizations of All Sizes
Kyocera is showcasing the first group of 19 new products that will be launched in fiscal year 2007 with the introduction of iTag, an “out of the box” solution that offers all of the document management capabilities necessary for a small business or department to start a document management initiative. iTag seamlessly integrates with select Kyocera multifunctional products (MFPs) and comes standard with a server, kiosk and touch screen validation station. Because hardware and software are included, users can start realizing iTag’s productivity enhancing benefits immediately. Bundled with a Dell™ Server and Microsoft Windows® SharePoint Services®, iTag offers users the option to upgrade to KYOcapture Powered by AutoStore, Kyocera’s award-winning server-based document capture workflow solution, as their document management needs grow.

Kyocera also introduced three MFPs that are ideal for workgroups with a need for both color and monochrome output. The KM-C3232KM-C3225 and KM-C2520 complement Kyocera’s existing monochrome MFPs and offer print speed, strong color image quality, productivity and reliability.

Kyocera has expanded its line of monochrome MFPs with the introduction of the KM-5050 (50 ppm), KM-4050 (40 ppm) and KM-3050 (30 ppm). These user-friendly products, based on Kyocera’s award-winning technology and reliability, are designed to improve workplace performance and productivity, improve security and simplify day to day tasks.
