KYOCERA Mita America Printers and MFP Receive Cerner Certification For Healthcare Information Systems Compliance
Achievement Demonstrates KYOCERA's Commitment to Engineering Quality Printing Devices for the Healthcare Industry
FAIRFIELD, N.J. - February 23, 2007 - Kyocera Mita America, Inc., one of the world's leading document solutions companies, today announced that three of its award winning document imaging products have achieved certification from Cerner, the leading U.S. supplier of healthcare information technology solutions. The Cerner validation demonstrates Kyocera’s commitment to provide healthcare institutions with document imaging technology that addresses the specific needs of patient-care facilities.
Kyocera’s FS-4000DN monochrome printer, the FS-C5030N color printer, and the KM-3035 multifunctional product (MFP) are now part of the “Cerner Peripheral List” which is used by Cerner to counsel clients when purchasing printing devices. In order to become Cerner certified, printing devices must pass a series of rigorous evaluations while operating under Cerner’s Millennium application environment – a single platform that allows health professionals to run tests, make diagnoses, place orders, fill medications, document patient-care proceedings or remit bills.
“Achieving Cerner certification demonstrates to the healthcare market that Kyocera printers and MFPs deliver the efficiency, reliability and sustainability required by hospitals and patient-care facilities,” said Peter Hendrick, vice president, Marketing at Kyocera Mita America. “Kyocera’s goal is to engineer innovative, high-quality document imaging products for any application or work environment.“
In addition to receiving Cerner certification, additional Kyocera printers recently have also been certified by Meditech, a leading provider of Health Care Information Systems. The nature of these achievements makes Kyocera a member of a niche group of qualified providers of document imaging solutions within the healthcare market.
Kyocera Mita’s FS-4000DN, FS-C5030N and KM-3035 are available through authorized dealers at the manufacturer's suggested retail prices (MSRP) of $1,676.00, $2,625.00 and $5,995.00, respectively. For more information on these Kyocera products and solutions, please visit: www.kyoceramita.com/us.
