KYOCERA Launches New Network Print Systems With Fast Output, Superior Quality and Low Cost of Ownership for the Workgroup and Enterprise
Economical monochrome printers provide customers unmatched network reliability and one of the lowest total cost of ownership
Fairfield, N.J., November 1, 2006 - Kyocera Mita America, one of the world's leading document imaging companies, today introduced two new models to the company's line of cost-effective ECOSYS monochrome printers. The new FS-9130DN, positioned to meet the needs of the workgroup and the FS-9530DN, perfect for the enterprise environment, both deliver fast output speeds, standard duplex, standard network interface and exceptional finishing options.
The FS-9530DN prints 51 letter-sized pages per minute and features a 600 MHz central-processing unit and 128 MB of standard memory (upgradeable to 640 MB) for impressive performance and fast handling. The FS-9130DN prints 40 letter-sized pages per minute and has a 600 MHz CPU and 64 MB of standard memory (upgradeable to 576 MB).
"Today, businesses are looking for print devices that are easy to use, increase office productivity, and save them money," said Bill Cassidy, associate director of product and solutions marketing, Kyocera Mita America. "In this competitive economic environment, we need to provide print solutions that offer true value to the customer. With superior output quality, optional paper handling and finishing, plus an array of security features, the FS-9530DN and the FS-9130DN are an ideal print solution for any organization."
The FS-9530DN and FS-9130DN provide the user with a wide array of standard and optional features, including standard USB Host Printing, optional data security kit, an optional hard disk drive (HDD) and optional paper handling and finishing.
Standard USB Host Printing allows users to plug-in a flash drive directly at the printer and output PDF documents securely. In addition, the optional Data Security Kit (C) adds a critical layer of protection. Kyocera's Data Security Kit acts as a powerful "memory scrubber" that automatically overwrites residual data remaining on the printer after each print job is completed. This works to prevent unauthorized user access to confidential information retained in the printer?s hard disk drive, thus reducing the threat of a security breach at the device.
The optional 40GB HDD is perfect for companies that require true document printing and advanced document storage. The HDD offers e-MPS functions: Private Print, Job Storage, Quick Copy, Proof and Hold, and Virtual Mailboxes. There are a series of optional paper handling and finishing accessories to choose from; including 500x 2 sheet paper drawers or a 3,000 sheet large capacity tray. Both printers have a maximum paper capacity of 4,200 sheets, and the ability to print from letter to ledger-sized paper.
The FS-9530DN and the FS-9130DN come standard with the KM-NET suite of software utilities that provide additional capabilities for network and device management. KM-NET simplifies a wide range of network administration functions including device monitoring, diagnostics, and accounting in a secure environment.
ECOSYS Technology
Kyocera's ECOSYS Technology incorporates long-life consumables with a lower total cost per print, while still maintaining high productivity and exceptional image quality. Kyocera?s patented Amorphous Silicon (ASi) drum is separate from the toner, eliminating the high costs associated with cartridge-based printers. With cartridge-based printers, consumable costs can easily exceed many times the original purchase price during the life of the product.
Availability and Pricing
The FS-9130DN and FS-9530DN printers are available through authorized Kyocera dealers at an MSRP of $3,465 for the FS-9130DN and $4,450 for the FS-9530DN. To find the nearest authorized dealer, log onto Kyocera Mita America?s locator at www.kyoceramita.com
