KYOCERA Mita America Adds Two New High-Performing, Cost-Effective Document Imaging Solutions to it Powerful Multifunctional Product Line

New KM-3060 and KM-2560 Combine Standard Features with a Robust Set of Options to Maximize Performance, Productivity and Document Management

FAIRFIELD, New Jersey – October 25, 2007 -- Kyocera Mita America, one of the world's leading document solutions companies, today introduced the KM-3060 and KM-2560, two new monochrome multifunctional products (MFP) for the small-to-medium business (SMB) and workgroup environments. Each offer standard network printing, color scanning and copying capabilities, as well as an array of options, including network fax and Internet faxing, and a series of document capture and management solutions. By introducing the KM-3060 and the KM-2560, Kyocera offers an affordable solution that allows SMB and workgroup environments to effectively meet their document imaging needs.

By delivering high performance capabilities with output speeds of 30/25 pages per minute (PPM) for the KM-3060 and KM-2560 respectively, crisp 600 x 600 dpi resolution with 256 levels of grayscale, and standard network color scanning, Kyocera maintains its reputation for delivering versatile imaging products and high-levels of document quality; allowing users to work better, faster and smarter.

Both new models feature an integrated USB Host Interface, designed to enhance performance, ease of use and security. The USB Host Interface allows users to install a USB flash drive at the control panel and print their PDF documents directly from the touch screen interface. For businesses concerned with document confidentiality, the KM-3060 and KM-2560 offer an optional Data Security Kit (C). This data security kit helps companies meet the privacy demands of today’s digital office environments by overwriting and encrypting documents stored on the standard 80GB Hard Disk Drive providing companies with a secure document solution.

To enhance workgroup collaboration between end-users, Kyocera’s KM-3060 and KM-2560 have the ability to consolidate, share and store both scanned and hard copy pages and digital documents. Kyocera’s Document Box function addresses this need; enabling users to save scanned or printed documents to a designated Box on the MFP, for easy retrieval and processing directly from the MFP’s color touch screen interface.

Seeking to reduce costs for the end-user and eliminate standalone facsimile, the Kyocera KM-3060 and KM-2560 also offer an optional fax system, which support traditional fax, network fax from the PC and internet fax communications. With the optional fax system installed, users can send and receive faxes both at the device or from any networked desktop computer. The ability to send a fax directly from the desktop eliminates the need to print the document first and then fax, therefore eliminating unnecessary paper waste and reducing overall office costs.

In addition, both models are fully compatible with Kyocera’s optional document solutions, including:

• iTag, Kyocera’s user-friendly document management solution which allows users to capture, store, share and retrieve electronic documents at the touch of a button;

• KYOcapture Express, a simplified document capture workflow solution designed for small to medium sized businesses allowing users to capture paper documents, index and OCR them for full-text search capabilities directly from the MFP; and

• KYOcapture powered by AutoStore, a large workgroup/enterprise document capture workflow solution which enables select Kyocera MFPs to seamlessly capture, process and route paper or electronic-based documents to multiple locations and document management systems.
