KYOCERA Wireless Enlists Superior Communications for Design, Manufacturing and Distribution of Wireless Accessories

San Diego and Irwindale, Calif., (February 23, 2009) - Kyocera Wireless Corp. (KWC), a leading global manufacturer of wireless phones and devices, and Superior Communications, the leading manufacturer and distributor of wireless accessories in the United States, today announced that KWC has entered a partnership with Superior to manage the design, manufacturing and distribution of the company's branded Genuine Accessories by Kyocera® retail accessory product line.

Superior will assume management of KWC's existing retail accessory product line while developing a portfolio of new cellular accessories for KWC's award-winning CDMA mobile phones. KWC selected Superior based on its proven, successful track record in developing and managing retail accessory programs for many of the leading US wireless carriers, as well as multiple handset and accessory brands worldwide.

"We are very excited to be partnering with an industry leader that provides the highest quality design and manufacturing of wireless accessories," said Eric Anderson, vice president of global sales at KWC. "Superior has been a trusted source in the industry for decades, manufacturing and distributing many of the leading brands. With an exciting lineup of new handsets and devices in the pipeline, this is a great time for us to extend those offerings with top-quality accessories from a trusted source like Superior."

The transition of KWC's retail accessory business to Superior begins immediately. KWC and Superior are working closely to ensure the ordering process - from part numbers to management of existing purchase orders - remains easy and customer-friendly. Customers will reap the benefits of Superior's deep expertise and economies of scale in the design and manufacturing of leading-edge accessories.

"We look forward to expanding our existing relationship with Kyocera in support of this key initiative," said Jeff Banks, senior vice president of sales and marketing at Superior. "Aligning our design, manufacturing, and distribution capabilities with Kyocera's device strategy will prove to be a successful formula for future market penetration surrounding the Kyocera brand. We are confident this transition will serve as a positive experience for all parties involved - most importantly, our customers."
