KYOCERA MITA America Wins Two 2009 Channel Choice Awards from the Business Technology Association
Dealers Honor Kyocera Mita for Product Line and Distribution Excellence
Fairfield, N.J. – March 19, 2009 – Kyocera Mita America, Inc., one of the world's leading document solutions companies, today announced that it has been honored with two performance awards from the Business Technology Association (BTA) in its annual survey to dealers. Kyocera received awards in the categories of Product Line and Distribution.
This recognition comes as part of BTA’s 2009 Channel Choice Awards, which surveyed independent office technology dealers throughout the United States. The Channel Choice Award for Product Line, dealers recognized Kyocera’s printers and Multifunctional products (MFPs) for offering strong performance, reliability and effectiveness. For the Channel Choice Award for Distribution, Kyocera earned distinction for their dedication to supporting dealers with fair and equitable agreements, strong advertising support, and offering pricing models that are competitive and profitable for dealers.
“To be recognized by our own dealer community for excellence in both our product line and distribution makes this honor even more significant,” said Michael Pietrunti, president and CEO, Kyocera Mita America. “Every Kyocera Mita employee has made a concerted effort to introduce new products, solutions and programs that improve our level of support and commitment to the BTA dealer. This recognition is a clear testament to our collective work and dedication.”
Pietrunti credits the successful launch of its TASKalfa 500ci color MFP series, as well as the newly released ECOSYS color and black & white printers, as two primary initiatives fueling Kyocera Mita’s channel presence. “We have seen a record number of dealers participate in our training and educational programs, and the reaction from our channel partners to our new series of printers and TASKalfa color MFPs has been extremely strong. We will continue to take any and all steps necessary to ensure Kyocera Mita is a company that is easy to do business with for end-users and our channel partners,” he added.
“We congratulate Kyocera Mita for its achievements in the categories of Product line and Distribution,” said Ronelle Ingram, president of the Business Technology Association. “Kyocera Mita’s superior products, distribution partners and industry leadership led to the BTA channel awarding them with two such honors. We congratulate Kyocera Mita and wish them continued success with their business and dealer network in the future.”
Winners were announced on March 18, as part of the 2009 ITEX show in Las Vegas. An award reception was held in partnership with ImageSource magazine. Ed Bialecki, senior vice president of sales for Kyocera Mita America, accepted both awards of behalf of the company.
