KYOCERA MITA America Ranks Highest in Monochrome Multifunctional Product Reliability and Quality
Kyocera Monochrome MFPs Receive BERTLs Readers Choice Award Determined by Equipment Buyers and Users
FAIRFIELD, N.J. – April 29, 2009 - Kyocera Mita America, Inc., one of the world's leading document solutions companies, today announced that it has been honored with the 2009 BERTL Readers’ Choice Award for Monochrome Reliability and Quality for segments 4-6. The award is the result of a worldwide end-user survey conducted by BERTL.
“Reliability is a factor in maintaining productivity in any enterprise and having a dependable device is crucial,” said Margie Davis, managing director, BERTL. “Kyocera has continually impressed us with its high performance reliable products that offer end user customers an industry leading total cost of ownership.”
Over the past year, BERTL conducted a worldwide survey covering more than 20 manufacturers’ copier, printer and MFP performances across a range of areas. Responses were received from enterprise buyers and technical professionals in over 90 countries, responsible for managing document imaging devices. Respondents were questioned on the most important issues affecting their digital imaging equipment purchasing decisions, such as quality, reliability, installation, and on-going service, ease of use, solutions provided and other factors.
“Every Kyocera MFP is designed with award-winning productivity and reliability to deliver user satisfaction and long term savings,” said Peter Hendrick, vice president, Marketing for Kyocera Mita America. “This award is even more significant, since the BERTL Readers’ Choice Awards are selected by some of the most experienced, technically savvy and discerning document imaging equipment buyers and users. Kyocera takes pride in the proven reliability, performance and technical excellence of its products.”
Kyocera’s recognition from BERTL’s readership is the latest in a number of recent industry awards the company has received. Kyocera was recognized for two 2009 Channel Choice Awards from the Business Technology Association (BTA) in the categories of Product Line and Distribution, based on survey results from independent office technology dealers. The Channel Choice Award for Product Line recognized Kyocera’s printers and Multifunctional products (MFPs) for offering strong performance, reliability and effectiveness. For the Channel Choice Award for Distribution, Kyocera was recognized for their dedication to supporting dealers with fair and equitable agreements, strong advertising support, and offering pricing models that are competitive and profitable for dealers.
In addition to honors from the office dealership community, Kyocera has also received awards from Federal organizations for their environmental products and business practices. Kyocera won the 2008 Evergreen Award from the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) Integrated Workplace Acquisition Center (IWAC) in the category of Technologies and Electronics. The award recognized the leading GSA vendor for their commitment to providing office technology solutions that recognize the importance of recycling, affirmative procurement and waste reduction. Kyocera was also awarded the 2008 Excellence in Partnership (EIP) award for Industry Green Contractor from the U.S. Government's General Services Administration (GSA) and the Coalition for Government Procurement. The Industry Green Contractor award was presented to the vendor who made the strongest commitment to the environment by offering environmentally-friendly products and adhering to environmentally-sound manufacturing and operating procedures.
