KYOCERA MITA America Launches New Color Desktop Printer, Providing Class Leading Low Total Cost of Ownership and Eco-Friendly Design

FAIRFIELD, N.J. – August 31, 2009 - Kyocera Mita America, Inc., one of the world's leading document solutions companies, today announced the launch of the FS-C5350DN (32 page per minute) desktop color printer. As part of Kyocera’s ECOSYS line of environmentally friendly printers, this Energy Star certified model utilizes long-life consumables while consistently delivering high-quality image output.

Businesses looking to meet the demand for superior color printing while reducing overall costs, the FS-C5350DN features 600 dpi color with durable monthly maximum duty cycle of 140,000 pages. The FS-C5350DN can print on a broad range of paper stocks, and comes standard with a 500-sheet input tray and a standard 150-sheet multi-purpose tray (MPT). The printer comes standard with paper saving duplexing, and offers an optional 500-sheet paper feeder that can support media up to 120 lb index. Maximum paper capacity (with options) is an impressive 2,150 sheets from five different paper sources to minimize refilling and changing paper types.

“Kyocera’s ECOSYS printers bring new levels of efficiency and performance combined with Kyocera’s low total cost of ownership to business color printing,” said Rich Heckelmann, product and solutions marketing manager, printers for Kyocera Mita America. “With Kyocera’s ECOSYS technology, the FS-C5350DN printer delivers the high image quality, manageability and ultra reliability that Kyocera is recognized for throughout the industry.”

To maximize workgroup productivity and efficiency, the FS-C5350DN features standard networking, 256MB of memory (upgradeable to 1.28GB) and high-speed USB 2.0 connectivity. The FS-C5350DN provides departmental accounting or tracking capabilities for up to 100 account codes, and can support various network operating systems for seamless use across the office. The Kyocera FS-C-5350DN also comes standard with a USB Host Interface, allowing “on the go” users to select files (PDF and XPS) and print documents easily from a portable USB memory device directly at the printer.

Kyocera offers a number of flexible network and device management tools to enhance productivity and document output. These tools include KMnet Viewer, KMnet Admin, KMnet for Accounting and PrintQ Manager and can be deployed for optimal use across the organization. PrintQ Manager, a server-based software tool, allows businesses to monitor, maintain and analyze print jobs and usage on all Kyocera networked printers. Kyocera also offers the Color Optimizer, a plug-in that provides end-users printing in color to improve color matching on their critical business documents.

In addition, a standard Command Center web interface allows users to verify the operating status of the printer and make setting changes related to security and network printing. For businesses with heightened security or compliance requirements, the FS-C5350DN comes standard with IPsec and IPv6 support.
