Exclusive Coverage Direct from the Show Available on Sprint TV and via PCAs Application at Android Marketplace for Kyocera’s Zio and Other Android Devices

LOS ANGELES--PEOPLE’S CHOICE AWARDS 2011 (PCAs) fans will have virtual access like never before as Kyocera and the PCAs team up to provide exclusive bonus coverage of tonight’s event to mobile devices and computers. Kyocera, the official wireless partner of PEOPLE’S CHOICE AWARDS 2011, will make the exclusive content available as the award ceremony is broadcast nationwide (9:00-11:00 p.m. ET/delayed PT). Red carpet arrivals and exclusive celebrity interviews are among the many things likely to be featured.

“We’ve had a tremendous partnership with the PCAs, integrating wireless into the show like never before, and we're excited to bring all the action to fans everywhere.”

Owners of Kyocera’s Zio™ (Z-EYE-O) Android™ smartphone and other Android devices can access the coverage via the free downloadable PCAs application from Android Market™. Additionally, Sprint customers with access to Sprint TV can get access on their mobile devices.

“People are always on the go these days, and with the PCAs kicking off what’s going to be a very exciting 2011 awards season, no one wants to miss the action,” said Yasuhiro Ohishi, vice president of sales and marketing at Kyocera Communications Inc. “We’ve had a tremendous partnership with the PCAs, integrating wireless into the show like never before, and we're excited to bring all the action to fans everywhere.”

Hob-nobbing on the red carpet and backstage isn’t the only place the Zio smartphone will be seen at PEOPLE’S CHOICE AWARDS 2011. For the first time, celebrity presenters at tonight’s event, on the CBS Television Network, will read the winners in each category from specially programmed Zio phones rather than the traditional paper envelopes.
