KYOCERA MITA America Powers Business Innovation with Latest TASKalfa Series of Color and Black & White Multifunctional Systems

FAIRFIELD, N.J. – May 16, 2011 – Building on the success of its flagship TASKalfa multifunctional product (MFP) series, Kyocera Mita America, Inc., one of the world's leading document solutions companies, strengthened its award-winning lineup, today, with the introduction of 11 new color and black & white TASKalfa multifunctional products (MFPs). The newly designed TASKalfa MFPs are built to transform document workflow and management to maximize document efficiency through a common technology, common design, easy to use features and compatibility with critical business applications.

The new series of TASKalfa MFPs delivers innovation for your office through power, performance, quality and ultra-reliability in 11 new models, including six new color MFPs: the TASKalfa 7550ci (70 pages per minute [ppm] color/75 ppm black); TASKalfa 6550ci (65 ppm color/65 ppm black); TASKalfa 5550ci (50 ppm color/55 ppm black); TASKalfa 4550ci (45 ppm color/45 ppm black); TASKalfa 3550ci (35 ppm color/35 ppm black); and the TASKalfa 3050ci (30 ppm color/30 ppm black). In addition, there are five new black & white MFPs: the TASKalfa 8000i (80 ppm black); TASKalfa 6500i (65 ppm black); TASKalfa 5500i (55 ppm black); TASKalfa 4500i (45 ppm black); and the TASKalfa 3500i (35 ppm black).

Each new TASKalfa MFP is engineered to give businesses optimum performance and maximum uptime; built with common technology, common design and common accessories. Keeping with Kyocera’s imaging technology standards, the new TASKalfa MFPs feature vibrant color and crisp black & white printing, color scanning and copying, and optional Super G3 fax/network fax and dual fax for high-speed document delivery. • Kyocera’s patented long-life consumable technology, with maximum business “uptime” through an impressive 600,000 page preventive maintenance schedule for each new MFP.

Business Applications to Maximize Productivity
Kyocera allows users to choose from a suite of Kyocera-developed and third-party business applications, powered by Kyocera’s HyPAS (a powerful and scalable software application platform). Below is a short selection of a number of applications available from Kyocera for the TASKalfa series of MFPs.

Capture2Go is a mobile document capture application available via the Apple AppStore on iTunes for the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch. Capture2go allows end-users to seamlessly scan and print documents on the new Kyocera series of MFPs, enabling them to review and distribute documents via their mobile device.

Kyocera offers advanced integration with OpenText RightFax, allowing users to scan and send documents to the RightFax server directly from TASKalfa MFPs for full fax server integration.

Additionally, using Kyocera’s SharePoint connector, Microsoft SharePoint users are able to logon to the SharePoint account, scan documents into a SharePoint folder and search/print the document directly from the Kyocera MFP device panel.

Kyocera’s Card Authentication solution gives organizations better control over their MFPs by allowing users to gain access to the Kyocera MFP with a simple swipe of a proximity-enabled ID badge – authorizing user’s access, based on LDAP or active directory permissions, improving document security.

DMS Link, is a customizable document management interface, which allows users to index documents at the control panel and route them to popular document management systems, such as SentryFile, Laserfiche, or share folders on the network.
