KYOCERA Advanced Ceramics Limited LTD Cutlery Series Wins 2013 Housewares Design Awards "Best in Category Honor

Costa Mesa, Calif. – The Limited LTD Cutlery Series from Kyocera Advanced Ceramics won the "Best in Category – Cutlery & Cutting Tools" from the prestigious 2013 Housewares Design Awards.  The housewares industry's premier independent design competition, the Housewares Design Awards is celebrating 10 years of inspiring innovation by honoring the best products of the year.

Designed in partnership with renowned Chef Ming Tsai, Kyocera's Limited LTD Cutlery Series combines a handcrafted Pakka wood handle with a hand-finished and polished black ceramic blade, echoing the traditional style of Japanese cutlery. Handcrafted by expert artisans in Seki, Japan, the unique handle shape provides a natural, ergonomic feeling, contoured to the palm, to enhance the cutting performance. 

An independent panel of judges selected the Kyocera Limited LTD Cutlery Series as the winner based on superior design, appearance, function and originality. The Housewares Design Awards are presented by HomeWorld Business and sponsored by The Gourmet Housewares Show at NYIGF®, Gourmet Insider Magazine and Whitford Corporation.  Judging is managed exclusively by Housewares Design Awards LLC.
