Kyocera TASKalfa Color MFPs Receive Official PANTONE Approval
World-renowned color authority acknowledges TASKalfa 5550ci series PANTONE capabilities
FAIRFIELD, N.J. – May 20, 2013 – Kyocera Document Solutions America, Inc., a global leader in advanced imaging technology and practical document solutions, today announced that Pantone LLC, the world-renowned provider of professional color standards, has approved the TASKalfa 5550ci, 4550ci, 3550ci, and 3050ci MFPs for PANTONE Color production capabilities.
Pantone approval is granted only after rigorous analysis. When testing the TASKalfa devices, the company’s color scientists and color analysts developed Kyocera device-specific look-up tables, allowing users to print superior simulations of proprietary PANTONE MATCHING SYSTEM® Colors. Pantone scrutinized the output—along with the toner, driver, resolution, and engine of each TASKalfa device. Overall the results during this analysis were found to be exceptional.
“Pantone standardized color systems, but the reproduction of those colors is reliant upon individual printing systems,” explained Danielle Wolowitz, director, product marketing for Kyocera Document Solutions America. “Those who use our TASKalfa MFPs have always known these devices produce sharp, vivid colors. Pantone has validated those claims—these four color MFPs exceed the high standards that the company demands. They generate professional grade documents and collateral with accurate PANTONE Colors. With these approvals, Pantone has reenergized our commitment to enhanced image quality and accurate color reproduction.”
