New Application Links Kyocera MFPs to Google Accounts

MFP users can now use their Google accounts to scan documents and print emails, attachments and calendars

 FAIRFIELD, N.J. – September 16, 2014 KYOCERA Document Solutions America, one of the world's leading document solutions companies, today announced the launch of its Google Connector. This new application, developed by Kyocera, enables Kyocera multifunctional product (MFP) users to directly access their Google email and calendar functions.

Kyocera Google Connector works seamlessly with any HyPAS-enabled KYOCERA MFP. Users simply access their Google accounts via the MFP’s touch screen control panel. They can then browse their emails and folders—including inbox, sent mail, and personalized folders—or print their email messages, attachments, or calendars.

While standing at the MFP, users can:

  • Compose emails;
  • Scan documents to store or send as email attachments;
  • Print personal or shared monthly calendars;
  • Find emails via keyword search.

“KYOCERA views Google Connector as one of the key components in meeting our customers’ evolving needs,” said Danielle Wolowitz, senior director, product planning & product marketing for KYOCERA Document Solutions America. “It has been reported that among small businesses, more than half use or support Gmail, making the new application the simplest and most seamless way for these users to stay connected. And it all happens when standing at a KYOCERA MFP.”
