KYOCERA America, Inc. Recognized for Excellence by Raytheon Space and Airborne Systems

SAN DIEGO, Oct 11, 2011 -- Raytheon Company presented supplier excellence awards to 39 companies for their exceptional performance in supporting the company's Space and Airborne Systems (SAS) business during 2011 at its annual Supplier Excellence Awards Dinner held on Sept. 26 in Los Angeles, California.

The winning suppliers represent less than one percent of SAS' supply base. They were chosen for meeting demanding standards in the areas of quality and delivery performance, customer satisfaction, and total business and financial health. Evaluations of their performance by the Raytheon buyers and material program managers who deal with them every day were also part of the selection process. Awards were presented at the 3- and 4-Star level, and Kyocera America received a 3-Star award.

"Kyocera America is honored to receive this prestigious award, recognizing us for exceptional support to Raytheon and to the men and women who serve," said Bob Whisler, president of Kyocera America, Inc., who received the award along with Rick Sigliano, vice president of sales.
